YodelTalk was named a Cool Vendor in Unified Communications and Collaborations by Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory company. The report, published in May 2018, evaluates interesting, new and innovative vendors, products, and services. This year’s selection of Cool Vendors “recognizes the user experience’s primacy in the digital workplace”.
“Application leaders should examine the disruptive capabilities that each of the profiled UCC vendors offers and how these could enhance their communications ecosystem”, reads the report. “The emergence of digital workplace initiatives in support of digital business transformation is a significant catalyst of disruption in the UCC market as the communication needs of modern workplace users are increasingly a crucial factor in procurement decisions.”
Mike Heininger, Co-Founder & CEO at Yodel.io, commented: “We are delighted to be named a Cool Vendor in Unified Communications and Collaboration by such a prestigious research company as Gartner. We view Yodel.io as the missing piece in the IT infrastructure, making voice integration and automation affordable for businesses. We believe this recognition as a Cool Vendor in this report will not only contribute to our reputation as a serious business partner, but it will also help us grow our brand worldwide while making it easier for us to move upmarket.”
Since its launch in 2016, Yodel.io is committed to making phone calls simpler, easier to handle, and more collaborative. It is the first virtual assistant that helps users handle their phone calls in Slack, as the Yodel.io bot lives in their chat rooms and announces calls. With it, users don’t have to worry about unknown calls as the bot answers the phone, asks who is calling and the reason for the call while transcribing it all conveniently into the user’s business chat in real-time. Yodel.io can even have fully autonomous conversations with the callers.
Berthold Baurek-Karlic, Founder Venionaire Capital and one of Yodel.io’s investors, said: “We feel the recognition given by the Gartner report only reinforces the fact that Yodel.io is building a great product on top of AI engines of leading tech-giants. Voice, and in particular phone bots, are game-changers for businesses and we believe in Yodel.io is the solution key to voice-driven automation for business.”
Simon West, Director of Alliances, Twilio Inc., added: “Customer engagement is absolutely vital to a company’s success in today’s digital world. Yodel.io provides startups and small businesses with innovative communications solutions that allow them to deliver the best possible experience for their customers. Twilio is proud to partner with Yodel to power this experience built on our market-leading Programmable Communications Cloud.”
